As your local Member of Parliament I can make 60 second statements that congratulate acknowledge achievements of individuals or groups within the community.

These statements are called Community Recognition Statements and they are predominantly of a local or private nature and uncontroversial. They recognise charity work, retirements or honour awards (e.g. sporting achievements, school awards etc).
