Vale John Case

Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Regional Transport and Roads)—I can't remember if I knew John and Joan first as guests of my tour company, or from attending Federal Electorate Council meetings in Singleton when we were both in the Federal Seat of Hunter. What I do remember most was the fact that it was always John and Joan Case, together, they were a formidable team, leaving a lasting impact on everyone they encountered. Politically, John and Joan were core Labor Party members, joining in 1990. They were the backbone of our local branch, would always go above and beyond for the cause, rallying the troops and leading by example. John and Joan would always share heartwarming stories about their children Judith and Justin, showcasing their immense pride and love for their family. They were always together, until they weren't. It is humbling to reflect on a life lived so well, so focused on the welfare of others, constantly putting others before himself, that was what made John such an extraordinary member of our community. John truly embodied the spirit of community, and his passion for life, love, and laughter and even loss will inspire me forever. Vale John Case.
