Old School Social Motorbike Club

Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Regional Transport and Roads)—Congratulations and thank you to the Old School Motorcycle Club for their ongoing fundraising efforts for the Maitland Hospital. On September 8th over 100 riders rode from Freemans Waterhole, through Kulnura, out to Wollombi and finished at Weston Workers Club. At the conclusion of the ride the club held a sausage sizzle and a monster raffle was held. Club president Michael Yule was proud that the club could give back to the community and such an important cause. All funds raised will go directly to Maitland Hospital Special Care Nursery to purchase additional equipment for premature babies. Members of the club chose this cause as many have had family, or know someone, who had used the nursery. This is the second ride for the club, with $8000 raised for the hospital last year and this year's result was a $9136 donation. Once again thank you to all involved for their generous support of premature babies at our hospital.
