KEN LANE MENSWEAR

Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Regional Transport and Roads) —On the 5th May 1948, Ken Lane opened his menswear store in High Street Maitland. I don't think he would have envisioned his grandson Patrick 75 years later posting a Facebook video to celebrate 75 years of Ken Lane Menswear. Ken's son John took the reins in 1968 and now grandson Patrick is in charge. They have employed dozens of local staff, supported charitable causes, and served the Maitland and wider Hunter community over this time, enduring and prospering during all the changes that have taken place in High Street. Every occasion for the men of the region requires a trip to Ken Lane's. The secret to their success comes down to outstanding customer service and high‑quality products. Patrick and the team know the size and fit of the men of Maitland better than their wives or partners, me included. Be it a suit for your wedding, debut, your school formal or school uniforms Ken Lane's has endured as the store of choice for over 75 years.
