Cooper Jenkins

Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Regional Transport and Roads)—Congratulations to Cooper Jenkins on securing his professional rugby league contract with the Leeds Rhinos in the English Super League. Cooper made his debut with the Maitland Pickers in round 6 of the 2019 season and quickly gained the attention of national selectors, being picked in the Australian Schoolboys team that same year. Cooper then went on to play for the Newcastle Knights development squad in the NSW Cup from 2021 to 2023 before moving to Queensland and playing for the North Devils. Cooper and his Queensland team then went on to take out the State Challenge defeating NSW Cup champions Newtown. Cooper is an all-rounder and as a junior, also excelled in athletics, basketball, motorcross, and surf lifesaving. I wish Cooper well in England with the Rhinos and in his goal to play consistently in the NRL. Congratulations Cooper and all the best for a big 2025 and beyond.
