Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland)—Congratulations to Maitland born and bred resident Steve Meyn, who was recently appointed chair of The Mutal Bank following Trevor Robinson's retirement. Steve is just the 11th person to be elected to that position in a financial organisation, which now boasts $1 billion in assets. Steve, who became a director in 2019, has more than 33 years' experience as an accountant and business advisor and is currently the chair of PKF Australia. Steve's career has seen him gain extensive experience in accounting, with a specific focus on – and passion – for IT consulting. He's also developed and implemented strategies that improve a business' performance, boosting the efficiency and effectiveness of data and reporting process, and managing the implementation of new systems. As a member of the Mutual Bank, and one of its many customers, I'm sure Mr Meyn will lead The Mutual Bank into its next exciting chapter as a vital and integral part of the Hunter economic landscape.
