Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland)—It is hard to find a better example of the resilience, selflessness and extraordinary dedication to community than Maitland's newest recipient of an Australia Day Honour, Graham Dark OAM. Graham's community service record is extensive and inspiring serving in some 30 community organisations over 40 years. What makes Graham's service and leadership even more outstanding is that he has been battling cancer on and off for 20 of those 40 years. At a time when it would have been understandable to sit back for a while and look after himself, he redoubled his efforts to serve others. And with all of this, his smile is always there, ready to welcome you to join his cause or at least buy another raffle ticket! Of course, always by his side, his tiny tower of strength and loving wife Lyn, has supported and cared for him so that they can help others. Congratulations Graham on an outstanding life of service! You and Lyn and your family should be very proud of all that you have achieved!
