Young people in Woodberry made the most of the free Boredom Buster session that kicked off last Wednesday at Noel Unicomb Hall.
The Boredom Buster sessions provide a series of family-friendly activity days in Woodberry. Activities include arts and crafts, cooking, indoor games and scooter maintenance just to name a few.
The days were developed as a result of a meeting with the Woodberry community in 2016 that highlighted the need for activities for young people to help reduce anti-social behaviour.
Particular acknowledgement needs to be given to the Maitland Neighbourhood Centre, the Maitland Family Support Service, Samaritans, the Anglican Church and Woodberry Place of Friends for coordinating and supporting the days and arranging for volunteers and parents to help out.
The Boredom Buster days will be held on January 17 and 24 from 11am to 2pm at the Noel Unicomb Hall. All are welcome.
